According to a late October 2020 report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the use of telehealth increased by 50% in 2020 compared with the same period in 2019. Two primary improvement opportunities to consider with this skyrocketing adoption rate are: (1) assessing provider adoption of the new normal utilizing a balanced view of telemedicine, and (2) understanding the patient experience and potential limitations to widespread consumer adoption.
