As of 1/1/26, EviCore will no longer provide prior authorization for Post-Acute Care and Home Health requests for Healthspring. All referrals created or received for start of care for the Post-Acute Care program after 12/31/25, should be directed to Healthspring via portal at (www.availity.com). All referrals created or received for start of care for the Home Health program after 12/31/25, should be directed to Healthspring via portal at (www.availity.com).

Effective January 1, 2026, Now known as HealthSpring, HCSC acquired the Cigna Group’s Medicare Advantage businesses in March of 2025. With this transition effective January 1, 2026, most Prior Authorizations that were delegated by Cigna Medicare Advantage will continue to be delegated to EviCore under HealthSpring.
Post Acute Care (PAC) and Home Health Services are not delegated to EviCore on and after January 1, 2026. Please refer to HealthSpring for more detailed information. Health care Providers | HealthSpring
Programs and Description
EviCore manages precertification for high-tech radiology and diagnostics cardiovascular services.
EviCore manages precertification for Cigna customers in most markets for outpatient and inpatient musculoskeletal services (e.g., interventional pain and joint surgery procedures).
EviCore manages precertification for durable medical equipment services for Cigna Medicare Advantage customers with the exception of Arizona Medicare customers.
Cigna and EviCore offer a comprehensive oncology program that promotes affordability, predictability, and simplicity.
EviCore manages precertification for select outpatient radiation therapy services.
