Community Health Options Implementation Resources

Effective 9/1/2020, Authorization requests for Spine and Joint services will no longer be managed by EviCore for Community Health Options.

As of 9/1/2020 Spine and Joint services will processed by Health Options Medical Management department. Pease redirect authorization requests to Health Options via portal, fax or phone.

EviCore will accept Spine and Joint authorization requests, updates, P2P, Reconsiderations up to 8/31/2020. Community Health Options will manage updates, P2P, reconsiderations post-de-implementation

EviCore by Evernorth is pleased to announce its partnership with Health Options to provide authorization services for Health Options members for dates of service beginning January 1, 2018. Advanced Imaging, Ultrasound, Cardiac Imaging, Interventional Pain Management services and outpatient Spine Surgery, Joint Surgery will continue to require Prior Approval from EviCore healthcare. 

Effective December 29, 2018, Obstetrical Ultrasounds (OB US) reviews will be processed by Community Health Options Medical Management team.

Effective November 1, 2018, Chiropractic, and outpatient Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy authorization reviews will be processed by Community Health Options Medical Management team.
