Effective July 1st 2026, prior authorization for chiropractic services will no longer be required. Oscar remains committed to continuously improving our member and provider experience, and with this in mind, in network providers can work directly with patients without being required to take this additional step through EviCore.
EviCore by Evernorth is pleased to announce its expanded partnership with Oscar to provide authorization services in the states of Arkansas, Illinois, and Nebraska for dates of service 1/1/2022 and beyond.
Authorization is currently required for Oscar Insurance members enrolled in markets within Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texa,s and Virginia. Authorization requirements will continue in these areas. All outpatient elective Radiology, Cardiology, Chiropractic, Interventional Pain Management, Radiation Therapy, Medical Oncology, Spine Surgery, Joint Surgery, Sleep and Lab Services require prior authorization from EviCore.
